Project overview
Designed the Cambodia Annual Outlook Conference website as a junior UX/UI designer at TWD., collaborating with a team to create a professional platform for a high-profile economic event. Key features included event schedules, speaker profiles, and more. This project marked my leap from novice to contributing meaningfully to large-scale digital solutions.
Problem
As a new designer, the project’s scale felt overwhelming. I lacked confidence in creating a professional, corporate aesthetic for a high-stakes event, and organizing dense content like schedules and speaker bios into a user-friendly layout seemed daunting. Balancing stakeholder expectations with usability while ensuring mobile responsiveness added pressure—all without prior experience in such large-scale projects.
Solution
Team collaboration became my anchor. My colleagues and I brainstormed ideas, shared feedback, and iterated on layouts to refine the visual identity. To simplify content, we prioritized hierarchy together, using clear sections and spacing. I worked closely with developers to test responsive designs and streamline navigation. Peer reviews and open communication helped align the team’s vision, turning uncertainty into a shared learning process.
Result
The website launched smoothly and made it easy for users to register, view schedules, and learn about speakers. Both the client and attendees loved the clean, easy-to-navigate design. For me, it was a crash course in teamwork, handling feedback, and designing for real-world users—a project I’ll always be proud of!
